So, not a lot has been going on with me since my last post...I'm basically (like i said in my last post) in a state of perpetual preparation for upcoming events. I have Skate St Moritz next week. That should be ok, JK and I just readjusted my freeskate and as long as I don't forget it, I should be fine. The short program is still going well, especially with how good my double axel's been lately. I also have a show coming up in vacaville....can't wait to do a show somewhere else...in sac or something...the sac shows are fun....anyway enough about that.
I got a laptop last week and I've been glued to it since the moment I aquired it. It has come in handy big time. Earlier today i was able to download and cut my recital group's music while I was a the rink. And tonight before work I was able to download and burn music for two of my co-workers five min before they needed it...so bascally i saved thier asses. So ya, when i'm bored, I can pop in a dvd, listen to music and surf the net....I can get so much work done. I used to get home dead tired and not want to get any work done (and I didn't get it done), now I'm doing it in my down time during the day and getting it done so much faster. I love it, I haven't named it yet tho.
I finally watched Donnie Darko...it was on sale at target the other day and I've been curious about it. I liked it...I was confused at times, but it all came together at the end. I'm still trying to grasp the whoe "deux ex machina"concept. I looked it up online while I was watching the movie, but I should have waited to look it up because I was focused on the movie and barely got the gist of the concept. Anyhow, if you have seen it anyone, can you tell me how/why Frank contacts and guides Donnie? Was that just his spirit that appeared to Donnie? And well, i guess there were a few other things I wasn't clear on, but I think this is one of those films that would have been ruined by over-explanation.
I guess that's all for now.
